I'm back. The funeral was hell on wheels.

They're discontinuing my Opa's dialysis. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until after the funeral.

The doctors are recommending discontinuing my Opa's dialysis.

There's a family meeting on Tuesday to decide what to do, which I will not be able to attend since it's in Manitoba.

Oh, for those who don't know, Barack Obama is now the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party...and Hillary Clinton is going all the way to the White House. Yeah, I'm confused too.

Well, I'm alive.

Madi, Miko and I went out to the Witchery last Thursday. It was good to look around for a while there, and I was able to get some herbs I needed. I was also able to order in a claddagh ring, although it took a while to find out what size ring I needed.

Afterwards, we walked all the way down to the Coup (a vegetarian restaurant) and had lunch. It was very good, but I had to leave early to try to get home before my mum.

I didn't quite manage it, but I snuck in the back door and she didn't hear me come in. Actually, she didn't even know I'd left the house, but I told her I'd gone out for a short walk in case I'd gotten sunburned or tanned (I didn't, except for on my scalp where my hair parts -- use sunscreen next time, Madi! :P), so I didn't get in trouble. My shins ached from the forced march for days afterwards, though.

I finally updated my library card yesterday, and I switched my home library from Shawnessy to Fish Creek because the Shawnessy library is tiny and their selection sucks. I also took out some books, so I've got something to do while I'm stuck in bed. I'm about halfway through Terry Pratchett's Colour Of Magic, and I've got Hyperion by Dan Simmons, Bloodchild And Other Stories by Octavia E. Butler, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and Consider Phlebas by Ian M. Banks as well, so I'm a happy girl.
